TITLE Myofunctional Therapy: Myo Munchee and Tongue Range of Motion Ratio (TRMR) (1 hour) CEUs This course is offered for 0.1 ASHA CEUs (or 1 PDH) (Intermediate Level, Professional Area) COST $40 for 2 week access COURSE REQUIREMENTS 1) Watch course videos 2) Complete course quiz 3) Complete course survey 4) Provide ASHA information for CEUs COURSE DESCRIPTION This course introduces clinicians to the Tongue Range of Motion Ratio (TRMR), a standardized measurement system designed to provide objective, research-supported data for clinical decision-making. Participants will learn the research behind TRMR, how to obtain the necessary measurements, complete the calculations, determine severity levels, and confidently interpret findings using the grading system. Real patient examples and difficult clinical cases are reviewed to help bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, including discussions around when objective measurement should be paired with functional therapy data prior to release decisions. This course also introduces the Myo Munchee, an adjunct tool used to support functional development by improving masseter strength, encouraging nasal breathing, and promoting healthy jaw growth. Participants will learn how to incorporate the Myo Munchee into myofunctional therapy programs, understand sizing recommendations by age, and explore practical applications for younger children who may not yet be candidates for formal myofunctional therapy. LEARNER OUTCOMES ⢠Identify the three measurements used in the TRMR system ⢠Calculate restriction severity using standardized ratios ⢠Interpret grading levels across all measurements ⢠Select appropriate Myo Munchee sizes based on age and developmental needs ⢠Implement the Myo Munchee within therapy programs
